At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked February 2023 event, the company unveiled the latest Galaxy Book3 Series computers, featuring the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Book3 Pro 360, and Book3 Pro. The new PCs come with the latest hardware including 13th-generation Intel processors and Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Samsung notes the new devices target consumers who want seamless multi-device connectivity and premium hardware.
The Galaxy Book3 Ultra – Samsung’s new premium and high-end PC – features ultra-high-performance computing. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 features a 2-in-1 convertible form factor with S Pen functionality. Whilst the Galaxy Book3 Pro is the thinnest clamshell device in its class.
The Book3 Ultra features a sleek premium design with a full glass display and thin bezels. It comes with the latest 13th-generation Intel Core H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050/4070 Laptop GPU.
The new Book3 series devices will be available on February 17th. The Galaxy Book3 Pro will start at $1449.99 and is available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 will start at $1899.99 and is available in a 16-inch size with Graphite and Beige color options. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra will start at $2,399.99, available in a 16-inch size.
Samsung announces its fourth generation Galaxy Z series foldable smartphones with the introduction of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new devices according to Samsung feature customisable form factors, tailored experiences, and upgraded performance. Which will intend open up new possibilities for users and deliver a comprehensive smartphone experience. Other devices introduced at the Samsung Unpacked event include the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch 5 series.
The new Galaxy Fold 4 comes with Android 12L created by Google for large-screen experiences, including foldable. The camera is upgraded with a 50MP wide lens and 30x Space Zoom lens that improves low-light images. It is powered by a 4nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform Processor and is available in 256, 512 and 1TB storage options. It is also equipped with IPX8 water resistance and a 4400 mAh battery with 25-watt super-fast charging.
Pre-order for the Z Fold 4 begins on August 11 and will officially be available on August 26th. Retail price starts at USD 1799.99 globally. Across Africa, it sells at Ksh 256,999 in Kenya, and R37 999 in south Africa. The device comes in GreyGreen, Phantom Black, Beige and Burgundy colours.
Samsung says the Z Fold 4 is now slimmer and lighter and the S-Pen works with both screens. It adds that content is more immersive and distinctive on the 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED main screen display.
Thanks to Samsung’s partnerships with Google and Microsoft it brings new multitasking features to the device. Google apps, including Chrome and Gmail, now support drag-and-drop. This allows users to quickly copy and paste links, photos and more from one app to another. Microsoft’s full Office suite and Outlook also take advantage of the foldable display.

The new device boasts of an upgraded camera equipped with a 65 percent brighter sensor that improves low-light images. It is powered by a 4nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform Processor and is available in 128, 256 and 512GB storage options. It also features an expanded 3,700mAh battery that charges up to 50 percent in 30 minutes with Super-Fast Charging.
Pre-order for the Z Flip4 begins on August 11 and will officially be avilable on August 26th. Retail price starts at USD 999.99 globally. Across Africa it sells at Ksh 142,999 in Kenya, R21 999 in south Africa. The device comes in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold and Blue colours.
Samsung says users can fully customise the Z Flip4 inside and out with Galaxy Themes on both Cover and Main Screen to complement their style with custom fonts, icons and designs. They can also create their own Cover Screen with new clock designs and backgrounds in various formats such as images, GIFs and even video.
The Galaxy Z Flip4’s compact clamshell design allows you to shoot hands-free video or capture full group selfies at various angles. This is by partially folding the phone to activate FlexCam, a new feature in partnership with Meta. FlexCam is optimised to work with popular social platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is announcing the Galaxy S21 FE 5G, a fan edition smartphone to the S21 series. It is packed with all the seemingly favourite fan features of the S21 but at a mid-range price. Samsung says the S21 FE 5G brings improved battery life, a larger display, a pro-grade camera and a fast processor. The least configuration of 128GB storage and 6GB will retail at $699, whilst the 256GB/8GB at $769. The device will start selling on January 11, 2022.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G comes in a bigger 6.4-inch AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 and comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Samsung’s One UI 4. It has a 32MP front camera that should be perfect for selfie pictures. The camera mode introduces vlogger mode that allows you to record with the front and back cameras at the same time. Its 25W super-fast charging gives you up to 50% battery charge in 30 minutes and you can share power with a friend using the power share feature.
There are currently no official prices or dates for when the S21 FE 5G will be announced across African markets including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, etc. Check back as I’ll update this once they are announced.

Samsung Electronics is announcing the Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G laptops as new additions to the Book series. The devices are expected to be the most affordable versions in the series with a retail price of $349. The laptops come in Wi-Fi and LTE versions and are expected to be available in June this year. A 5G model will come later on in the year. The other laptops in the series are the Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360 and Galaxy Book.
The Galaxy Book Go series has a smart clean finish. It is light at about 1.4kg and is also thin. The top of the device feels smooth whilst the bottom feels like it has a grip. It comes with a 14-inch Full HD display with a slim bezel and has an aero shape design. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform, with optional LTE connectivity. Whilst the 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform. It runs an ARM processor so it doesn’t come with a fan for airflow. Ports include USB C and A, a headphone jack and a SIM card tray. It has a 180-degree folding hinge.
The go devices are good for lightweight office works, browsing, emails, streaming, etc. It can be a good companion for students as well.

Samsung announces the new Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 computing devices at Galaxy Unpacked April event. The new Galaxy Book personal computers (PCs) are designed to be more like your smartphone. Giving you performance on the go, ultra-vivid display and seamless integration with your other devices.
Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, says the Galaxy books are as thin as a smartphone and ultra-light. Well, not all that thin and light. The 13″ Galaxy Pro Book weighs 0.87kgs whilst the 13″ Galaxy Book Pro 360 with Wi-Fi weighs 1.04kg. He also notes you’ll get a flawless integration experience between Android and Windows.
Samsung says the new line of Galaxy Book will launch on May 14th in select markets. Galaxy Book Pro will start at $999 and the Galaxy Book Pro 360 at $1199.
