Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is announcing the Galaxy S21 FE 5G, a fan edition smartphone to the S21 series. It is packed with all the seemingly favourite fan features of the S21 but at a mid-range price. Samsung says the S21 FE 5G brings improved battery life, a larger display, a pro-grade camera and a fast processor. The least configuration of 128GB storage and 6GB will retail at $699, whilst the 256GB/8GB at $769. The device will start selling on January 11, 2022.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G comes in a bigger 6.4-inch AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 888 and comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Samsung’s One UI 4. It has a 32MP front camera that should be perfect for selfie pictures. The camera mode introduces vlogger mode that allows you to record with the front and back cameras at the same time. Its 25W super-fast charging gives you up to 50% battery charge in 30 minutes and you can share power with a friend using the power share feature.
There are currently no official prices or dates for when the S21 FE 5G will be announced across African markets including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, etc. Check back as I’ll update this once they are announced.
