ProtectMe is a pressure and shear sensing technology, a groundbreaking innovation initially addressed to people with diabetes, aiming at preventing foot or toe amputation. Since some diabetic patients lose sensitivity and have ulcers that can lead to amputations, we came up with ProtectMe an innovative product that enables those persons to prevent an aggravation of their disease that can lead in severe cases to amputation of the foot. It can help to monitor pressure on the defective part of the foot palm to avoid an aggravation of ulcers.
ProtectMe contains a multitude of micro sensors to measure pressure and shear forces providing on demand information, wirelessly, also, it contains micro vibrators and transcutaneous electrical stimulants for reducing pain in the defective parts of the foot palm.

Night’s Watch is a team of 4 engineering students who question everything, are driven by passion and technology. Team members include Assil Mekki, Ben Said Amir, Mohamed Zied Cherif, and Soumaya Tekaya.

Night’s Watch project is inspired by our colleagues who suffers from amputations during their growth. We have seen the struggle they have to put up with to get through every normal thing we take for granted.
The cost and accessibility of these prosthetics are beyond their reach and we believe that for something that is vital for every human being, it is highly unconsidered. We therefore created a prosthetics that not only does not require any surgical intervention, it is easy and simple to use.
The hand connected to a myo armband will detect the muscle movement of the user and will move the hand according the needs of the user.

We wish these guys all the best and cheer them on to make us proud. Did you take part in this years Imagine Cup 2016 qualifiers tell us your experience?

Windows 10 Anniversary Update is coming August 2

Windows 10 Anniversary Update is coming August 2

Anniversary Update for Windows 10 is scheduled to arrive on August 2nd 2016.

Anniversary Update

Windows 10 announced by Microsoft in September of 2014 was released officially on the 29th of July 2015. A year on; Windows 10 currently available as a free upgrade to users of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 PC’s will receive it’s second major update. The first major update was released some time back in November 2015.

The Anniversary Update scheduled to arrive this summer, has been known by the codename REDSTONE for some time. Windows Insiders have also had the opportunity to help shape it’s development with their numerous feedbacks. But to all other Windows 10 users, the update will start rolling out on the 2nd of August.

For users who have updated to Windows 10, this update comes as a free upgrade. If you buy a near future windows 10 device you will get this probably preinstalled. If you didn’t upgrade your old windows device then you’ll need to buy this.

Windows 10 currently according to Microsoft is installed on over 350 million devices and 135 billion hours of usage since launch.

We’d like to say a special thank you to each of you who have upgraded to Windows 10. With over 350 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of Windows and customer engagement is also incredible with more than 135 billion hours of use on Windows 10 since launch

The Anniversary Update brings six areas of innovation and improvements to consumers and enterprises.

  • Additional Security Features for the Most Secure Windows
The Update enables companion devices to use Windows Hello to unlock your PC, giving you more choices for quick, secured sign-ins.
Improvements to Windows Defenders free anti-malware service, includes the option to automatically schedule periodic quick scans of your PC; as well as provide new notifications and summaries when scans are complete and threats are found.
Enterprise customers will benefit from two major new security features to help protect businesses from today’s modern threats. Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (WDATP) and Windows Information Protection, formerly referred to as enterprise data protection.
  • Windows Ink Brings the Power of Windows to the Tip of Your Pen

Quickly and easily take a note, sketch on a screenshot, or draw an idea.
Smart Sticky Notes help you remember common tasks like reminding you of flight times or offering directions using Maps.
Key apps have new ink-specific features, like using handwriting in Office, ink annotations in Microsoft Edge or drawing custom routes in Maps.

  • Cortana Helps You Be More Productive with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Cortana is now available above your lock screen so you can do things like ask questions, play music from your PC or set a reminder without unlocking your device.
Cortana can save and recall key information, like your frequent flier number or where you parked at the airport. You can also add photos to make your reminders visual, like a photo of a bottle of wine you enjoyed at a restaurant.
Cortana can give you notifications across all the devices you have with Cortana – like sharing directions across devices or from text or messaging services on your phone.

  • Microsoft Edge Helps You Do More with Increased Power Efficiency, Extensions and Accessibility
  • Gamers Stay Connected and Enjoy More Games
  • New Innovations for the Modern Classroom

If the upgrade is available for your existing Windows Phone 8.1 device, you can install the upgrade.

  • How to get an activation code for your mobile device:
Kindly Click —-> here   or type out  —> [ https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/menu/hardware/wp/ ] in your web browser. You can either call, text chat a Microsoft Answer Desk person who’ll require your phones IMEI and model. (chat is usually a better option).
  • How to Add a Microsoft account to your phone:
On Start Start button, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts and your created Microsoft account. (You can now use any email account you have, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. Once you sign that up as your Microsoft Account).

Windows Hello is another way to sign in to your Windows 10 mobile device. It uses your eyes to verify your identity. It needs special hardware and so this isn’t available with every windows mobile device.

To set it up; On Start Start symbol, swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options to set up Windows Hello. • How to Setup and Use Continuum

Create and edit Office documents, send email, type text messages, watch videos, browse your photos, or surf the web on your connected screen. When you’re done, your work goes with you—it’s saved on your phone.

Continuum turns your phone into a big-screen projector and a big-time productivity tool. Use a dock or wireless adapter to connect to a TV or monitor, then use your apps and see your content on a larger screen. Want to do even more? Connect a keyboard and mouse and get productive.

*Use your Phone as a Phone during Continuum. Even when you’re connected to a display or monitor, you can still use your phone in all the usual ways. Make and receive calls, send texts, check your social media apps—it’s all still a tap away.

How you set up Continuum depends on what type of hardware you’ve got. Here’s what you’ll need to get started.

  • A TV or monitor with HDMI input.

  • A Windows 10 Mobile phone that’s compatible with Continuum.

  • A compatible accessory for connecting your phone to your TV or monitor.

  • A power outlet to plug in your dock or adapter.

*Use your Phone as a mouse during Continuum. To use your phone to control your connected screen, select Tap to control in the Continuum banner at the top of your screen. Then swipe your finger around the phone’s screen to move the cursor.

To connect using a wired dock:

  1. Plug the dock into a power outlet.

  2. If you’re connecting to a TV, make sure the TV’s input is set to HDMI.

  3. Plug the dock into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor.

  4. Plug your phone into the dock.

To connect using a wireless adapter:

  1. Plug the adapter into a power outlet.

  2. If you’re connecting to a TV, make sure the TV’s input is set to HDMI.

  3. Plug the adapter into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor.

  4. On your phone, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Continuum Continuum icon.

  5. Select Set up. (You’ll only see this screen the first time you connect.)

  6. Select Wireless, then select Connect.

  7. On the Connect screen, select the name of the wireless adapter.

**** To get to more settings and options while you’re connected, tap the Continuum banner at the top of your phone screen, then tap More More icon.
