We share with you where .NET Conf events are taking place across the continent.

 

.NET Conf 2018 is here and is set to take place, September 12 to the 14th 2018. This is a free virtual 3-day developer event with local meet-ups scheduled to take place September 12 through to October 31st across the globe.

The virtual livestream event will discuss what’s new in .NET by the builders. Other speakers will talk about some of the tools including .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Xamarin, C#, Azure, AI/ML, etc. Join and find out what the future holds for .NET. 

This year’s event features, Microsoft MVP, Toni Solarin-Sodara of Andela Nigeria. Toni will be speaking on “Cross-Platform Unit Testing and Code Coverage with Coverlet” on day 3. Don’t miss it.

The .NET Conf local event brings engineers and developers; no matter the level, of varying languages together. So this is a chance to meet and talk with the people in your ecosystem. Learn and share ideas, make friends and grow your network.

Google invites Creators, Innovators, Business owners and Hustlers for the second Google for Nigeria event. 

Google for Nigeria 2018

This is the second of a possible annual event and is set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria. Google invites innovators, creators, business owners or anyone with a hustle to join them for the Google for Nigeria event. Scheduled for the 26th and 27th of July 2018 at the Landmark event center, Victoria Island, Lagos. 

The event will bring google platform users, partners and other stakeholders together for a learning session. Google will use the event to highlight new products, and investments across the continent. There will also be a digital playground for attendees to explore, learn and play with the latest platform products. Masterclasses will also be available to teach creators and publishers on how to tell stories and make money.

Microsoft engineers are taking a mini Build event across the globe via the Insider Dev Tour. They’ll be making an Africa stop in Johannesburg on June 21st and you can plan to be there. 

The events are geared at developers of any level interested in building Microsoft 365 experiences. The event will feature Microsoft engineers showcasing the latest technologies introduced at Build 2018 and also some of the new cool things we can expect in the future. Also there’ll be deep dives into the codes as well. Microsoft promises you’ll learn about features covering Windows, Azure, AI, Office etc.

You will learn to build native Win32/XAML apps and Progressive Web Apps,
and take advantage of the latest Windows 10 capabilities.

You’ll learn how to add AI (Artificial Intelligence) into your projects,
how to connect with new ecosystems using the Microsoft Graph,
and how to bring your experiences into the next dimension through Mixed Reality.
