Microsoft’s flagship event that talks about the hottest technology topics, Future Summit 2019 is here. Join the event that also delves into and discusses the future of AI on January 30th. Future Summit 2019 will showcase Microsoft’s AI platform and services and the opporunities that exists.

The event is organised by the Microsoft Cloud Society Program. Microsoft Cloud Society is a program designed to skill up an individual into becoming an expert in the space of cloud computing and AI. It also identifies and engages passionate cloud computing focused experts.

The event unlike the one held in September last year in Cape Town will be a digital event.

The event invitiation reads;

Microsoft Future Summit is a unique event focusing on similar topics of intense interest. Join us virtually to view the event on-demand, which was held in Mother City of Cape Town on September 13th.

This year’s connect(); event will take place along side Microsoft Azure and AI Conference. It still promises what developers know it for, news, demos and insights through keynotes and mostly technical sessions. That’s more deep diving into the platforms, tools and frameworks.

Microsoft Connect(); 2018 will take place December 4, 2018 online at these local times. 8:30 am PT, 11:30am ET, 4:30PM UTC, 7:30PM EAT, 6:30 PM SAT. But because of the Azure and AI conference it will be taking place in Las Vegas, if you want to be part. 

Microsoft says “Tune in online on December 4, 2018 for a full day of dev-focused delight—including updates on Azure and Visual Studio, keynotes, demos, and real-time coding with experts.”

Microsoft uses the online developer event to connect with developers. They share on the latest in technologies, tools and plans for the future. Developers get the opportunity to ask questions and see live demos of the tools and integrations. It will also show deployments of flexible tools that embrace various environments that target Android, iOS, Linux, Windows etc. Since it is fused with the AI event, you will hear more about Azure and AI future.

Keynote and featured speakers for include Scott Guthrie, Scott Hanselman, Donovan Brown, Amanda Silver and many more.

Are you a developer or IT Professional interested in building cloud applications. Or moving your organizations data, apps and solutions to the cloud? Then join the Azure Migration Day event scheduled to take place November 3rd 2018 at the Microsoft office in Dubai.

The training event is organized by the Gulf Datacenter Community in partnership with Microsoft. With two Microsoft Datacenters scheduled to be available in the UAE and Africa, the community shares and learns about Microsoft’s Cloud & Datacenter infrastructure technologies. Led by Microsoft Cloud & Datacenter experts, Microsoft MVPs, other industry experts, etc.

The Azure Migration Day training event will look at Azure migration services, using Azure Site Recovery and Database Migration Service. How to assess on premises workloads for migration to Azure. Performing performance based sizing and Migration suitability of on premises machines.

Living in and around Durban? Here’s an opportunity to network and participate in a challenge facilitated by Microsoft MVPs and the Azure user community in Durban, South Africa. 

The invitation reads out;

“Challenge Yourself against some of the best and put your Azure Skills to the ultimate test in an 8am to 8pm Open-Source Saturday Marathon.

You will be required to Architect, Implement, and Optimize a business application but using only Open-Source technologies and the Kubernetes orchestrator.

You will be split into teams and you will get points for design, security, efficiency as well as the creativity of your application when running in production.

You application will be rigorously exposed to a brutal set of performance requirements and the team with the most points Wins and winning means you get a prize. Still to be disclosed.”

The event takes place October 13th at the Educor Westville Datacenter Auditorium and starts from 8am. To participate in the challenge, you need to have experience with Azure and Open Source technologies. Microsoft MVP Lawrance Reddy said “we are giving away MXChip IoT Azure Certified DevKits and other Microsoft goodies.

Microsoft’s annual developers and IT professionals conference, Ignite, is hitting the roads. Microsoft Ignite is going global and will be in a city near you. Microsoft promises to bring the same vibe to you on this tour during a two day event. This announcement came at the end of the conference which took place in Orlando, Florida just some days ago. Next years will also be in Orlando and you can pre-register for Microsoft Ignite 2019 now. 

Announcing #MSIgniteTheTour, a free technical training event for developers & tech professionals. 100+ deep-dive sessions, expert connections, and community building.

From all indications Microsoft Ignite The Tour seems to be a replacement for Microsoft TechSummit which has the same goal. So TechSummit fans this will be the go to event next year. 

Promising over 100 sessions the event will help you grow your skills, explore new technology and connect with Microsoft engineers. If you are planning to attend there will be so many topics and sessions you’ll need to tailor the experience to what you want to leave with. 

In the Microsoft Middle East and Africa region the conferences will take place in Johannesburg, Tel Aviv and Dubai. The Johannesburg, South Africa event is scheduled to take place January 28-29, 2019January 22-23, 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 27-28, 2019.
