Samsung introduces Galaxy Book2, Galaxy Book2 Pro series and Galaxy Book2 Business laptops at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 in Barcelona. The new devices are very thin and light, come with high-security standards usually found in business laptops and next-generation hardware for better performance. The Galaxy Book2 Pro series features three devices; Galaxy Book2 Pro, Galaxy Book2 360 and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. Samsung didn’t talk much about the cheaper Galaxy Book2 on stage.
The Book2 Pro series notebooks come in 13 and 15-inch models and weigh as low as 0.87kg. They sport bright Super AMOLED Full HD touchscreen and a Full HD 1080p wide angle web camera. Run on the latest Intel EVO 12th generation i5 and i7 processors with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. Samsung promises up to 21 hours battery life use after a single charge. You will also get up to eight hours of battery life after a 30 minutes charge thanks to the 65W charger.
They are the first consumer PCs to meet Microsoft’s secured-core PC requirements. A Windows 11 advanced level security feature that is deeply integrated into hardware, firmware and software. Providing identity, software, firmware and hardware protection against sophisticated attacks.
The Galaxy Book2 Pro will start at $1,049 and Pro 360 at $1,249. Pre-order for the Book2 Pro series will start on March 18th with devices available April 1st. The Galaxy Book2 will start selling at $749, Galaxy Book2 360 at $899 and Galaxy Book2 Business at $1,999.

Samsung and IBM invite developers to participate in the 2021 Call for Code challenge dubbed honouring everyday heroes challenge. To encourage the development of new technology solutions to help everyday heroes who are invaluable to society. The winning team will receive a cash prize of $15K USD, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and get deployment support to bring their solution to life.
The hackathon event is part of the broader Call for Code global program with contributions from over 179 nations. Inviting problem-solvers around the world to build and contribute to sustainable, open-source technology projects that address social and humanitarian issues.
Submissions for the Call for Code Honoring Everyday Heroes Challenge must be able to run on a Samsung tablet, smartphone, and/or wearable device. It must also make use of one or more IBM open hybrid cloud technologies such as IBM Cloud or IBM Watson. Participants will also have access to Samsung toolkits, as well as data from The Weather Company.
The deadline for submissions is November 20th and evaluated by a judging panel from IBM and Samsung. It will announce the winner on December 9th.

Samsung Electronics is announcing the Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G laptops as new additions to the Book series. The devices are expected to be the most affordable versions in the series with a retail price of $349. The laptops come in Wi-Fi and LTE versions and are expected to be available in June this year. A 5G model will come later on in the year. The other laptops in the series are the Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360 and Galaxy Book.
The Galaxy Book Go series has a smart clean finish. It is light at about 1.4kg and is also thin. The top of the device feels smooth whilst the bottom feels like it has a grip. It comes with a 14-inch Full HD display with a slim bezel and has an aero shape design. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform, with optional LTE connectivity. Whilst the 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform. It runs an ARM processor so it doesn’t come with a fan for airflow. Ports include USB C and A, a headphone jack and a SIM card tray. It has a 180-degree folding hinge.
The go devices are good for lightweight office works, browsing, emails, streaming, etc. It can be a good companion for students as well.

Samsung announces the new Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 computing devices at Galaxy Unpacked April event. The new Galaxy Book personal computers (PCs) are designed to be more like your smartphone. Giving you performance on the go, ultra-vivid display and seamless integration with your other devices.
Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, says the Galaxy books are as thin as a smartphone and ultra-light. Well, not all that thin and light. The 13″ Galaxy Pro Book weighs 0.87kgs whilst the 13″ Galaxy Book Pro 360 with Wi-Fi weighs 1.04kg. He also notes you’ll get a flawless integration experience between Android and Windows.
Samsung says the new line of Galaxy Book will launch on May 14th in select markets. Galaxy Book Pro will start at $999 and the Galaxy Book Pro 360 at $1199.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. ahead of Consumer Electronics Show(CES) 2020 announces the Galaxy Book Flex α, Alpha. A new variant of the earlier announced Galaxy Book Flex. Which the company says offers longer battery power, immersive QLED display and an exquisite design. All at a competitive price-point.
Samsung shares the new device meets the demands of today’s consumers. Who are constantly striving to blend their personal and professional lives as well as everything in between. It combines productivity and premium laptop experience with the mobility and flexibility of a smartphone, the company notes.
The 2-in-1 PC device is thin and light, weighing 1.19kg and 13.9mm thick. Spots an aluminum frame with sharp diamond-cut edges. It runs on a 10th generation Intel Core Processor, 8 GB of RAM with up to 1TB of storage. Other features include a built-in biometric reader and pen support. Device battery life is estimated at 17.5 hours, with the ability to fast charge. Samsung says it will be available first half of 2020, starting at $829.99.
