Microsoft invites leaders of organizations across the Middle East and Africa to join its Reimagine Tomorrow virtual summit to explore ways to adapt, reinvent and transform using technology. The virtual conference will take place on July 7 and 8 2020.

Noting these are unprecedented moments, the company is inviting leaders at all levels to what it calls, “explore the art of the possible“. Microsoft shares that “technology will be a key ally in re-booting enterprise” as countries start preparing for the post-Covid-19 era.

The event will feature session tracks in HR, CIO, CFO, CMO, Retail, Telecommunications, Financial Services Industry, Education, Energy, Mining and Manufacturing.

Amazon is bringing its Amazon Web Service (AWS) summit virtually to Africa on July 9. The multinational technology company will host a one-day virtual summit to help developers and technology enthusiasts take advantage of its recently launched AWS Africa region.

The event dubbed AWS Africa Region Virtual Day hopes to bring together the cloud computing community in Africa to connect, collaborate, and learn about AWS Cloud. It is targeted at both new and experienced cloud users with technical sessions available for all levels.

The event invitation reads, “Kick-start your journey to the AWS Cloud. Join us for a day of learning how to build on AWS!”

Keynote sessions will be led by Amazon CTO, Dr. Werner Vogels, and Sub-Saharan Africa General Manager, Michael Kogeler. Amazon shares there will be “14 breakout sessions across 3 tracks. A business executive track and 2 technical tracks“.

Microsoft Build 2020 will be taking a totally different format this year. Completely digital and free, the developer-focused event will be hosted in a non-stop 48-hour interactive experience unlike in previous years. Microsoft Build 2020 will take place from 3pm GMT, May 19 to 20.

Microsoft notes registration of the event is free. To get access to the full interactive content you’ll need to register. Event attendees can customize 48 hours of continuous content to get their digital event experience.

The world today is conforming to the new norm of social distancing, work from home and masks to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. Covid-19 pandemic has affected many global events. Events are either being cancelled, rescheduled or held virtually. Making the highly anticipated Microsoft Build event attended by thousands of people worldwide a digital-only event.

The event will still have the main keynote delivered by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Other key segments include a Scott Hanselman led “every developer is welcome” session. UPDATE: Watch the Microsoft Power Platform Online Conference 2020

Microsoft will be hosting an online conference for its power platform on March 20th. The event will feature nine hours of live training and tutorial sessions. Led by Power Platform Senior Platform Evangelist Jon Levesque, Microsoft MVP’s and other trainers.

Formerly known as the Flow Conference, the event will bring you insights into Microsoft’s power automation tools. That’s power BI, Power apps, power automate and Power Virtual Agents. The sessions will cover subjects from beginner to advance levels.

The day will consist of 18, 30 minute sessions covering every tool in the platform. From beginner all the way to advanced content. No matter what your skill set is, you will be able to get valuable insights and new skills to help take your Flow game to the next level.

Africa Tech Summit Kigali: AI in Africa and scaling startups, Microsoft

Over 600 industry leaders, entrepreneurs and investors across Africa will gather in Kigali, Rwanda for the annual Africa Tech Summit aimed at connecting the African technology ecosystem.

The three day event that kicks of on February 4th will feature latest trends in three tracks; Future SummitMoney & Blockchain Summit and Africa Start-up Summit.

Microsoft’s Africa business and market development engine, 4Afrika, is a sponsor of the event. The company will share insights on artificial intelligence(AI) in Africa and leveraging partnerships to scale businesses. As well as engaging the community on leveraging its tools, solutions, platform and network.

Microsoft will steer conversation about AI and what AI is doing in Africa during the keynote and panel session at the Future Summit on day one.

On day two of Africa Tech Summit, the company will host a fireside chat for startups. On how they can leverage on partnerships to scale their businesses at the Africa Start-up summit.

The Pan-African tech event will bring together industry leaders, startups, investors and corporates from across the region.
