Surface Book 3 is now officially available in South Africa and will retail at R37,999 for the least configuration. The highest configuration of 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage retails at R52,999. Consumers will be able to buy the device from Microsoft Surface authorized partner Incredible Connection stores.
The device comes in 13 and 15-inch display sizes with up to 512GB storage. It is powered by a 10th generation Intel quad-core processor and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce graphics. What Microsoft did with the device is to maintain the outlook of the Surface Book 2 but upgrade every internal aspect with the latest tech.

Microsoft announced the Book 3 in May 2020 and they went on sale in other markets in June. They also became available in the United Arab Emirates market in September 2020. So for the South African market, they are arriving almost a year later.
Interestingly, the devices are currently out of stock on the Incredible Connection online store with no details on when to expect new stock.

Microsoft announces Surface Book 2 with more power base, better battery life and a new 15″ option.
The latest Microsoft Surface device and an upgrade to the Surface book has been introduced. The Ultimate Laptop collection has received a serious revamp. With up to 17 hours battery life(depending on your usage), amazing graphics and available in 15 and 13″ sizes. It comes with the latest 8th Gen. Intel Dual-Core and Quad-Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. Microsoft says the Surface Book 2 has up to five times the graphics performance of the original Surface Book and is twice as powerful as the new MacBook Pro.

The new Surface Book 2 laptops start selling at $1499. Pre-order begins on the 9th November and it starts shipping on the 19th November.

Microsoft today showcased a device that many people weren’t expecting as it didn’t even leak out. The October 6th briefing event saw the introduction of The Microsoft Surface Book, a two in one laptop to the media and public.

The Microsoft Surface Book weighs 3.34 pounds (1,516 grams) including keyboard, it’s 13.5” with PixelSense display at a Resolution of 3000 x 2000 (267 PPI), 3:2 aspect ratio like the other Surface Pro devices and 10 point multi-touch.
The laptop comes in two variations i5 and i7 both 6th generation processors has up to 1TB of storage, Intel HD 520 graphics (for just i5) and optional discrete (i5/i7)NVIDIA GeForce 8G graphics.
The Microsoft Surface Book has two full-size USB 3.0, SD card reader, headset jack, mini displayport. 5.0MP front and 8.0MP rear camera with autofocus, it has 12 hours battery life, the casing is magnesium and comes in silver.
The Laptop is able to pre-order today and it will be available on October 26th 2015. Pricing for the device starts at $1499.
