Andela is partnering with Microsoft to bring Azure cloud skills to technologists in Kenya and Nigeria. Through the Andela Learning Community with Microsoft Azure training program.

Today, we launch the #ALCwithMicrosoft Azure Training program! Microsoft and Andela are giving you the opportunity to advance your skills in Microsoft Azure. This is in a bid to drive a collective mission to empower current and future African technologists with for high-value employment skillset. 

“The program is opened to anyone looking to grow their Azure software development skills. And is excited to learn with a community of technologists” Andela shares.

At the end of the training, shortlisted participants will receive Microsoft Azure certification exam vouchers.

Andela Learning Community powered by Microsoft meet-up takes place in Lagos

First Andela Learning Community with Microsoft meet-up, organized by Andela Nigeria and Microsoft Nigeria takes place in Lagos.

Andela Learning Community

The meet-up brought together passionate learners with little or no knowledge in a programming language. Giving them the opportunity to start or level up in either DevOps or Front-end web Development.

The Andela Learning Community seeks to help the creation of thousands of African technologists and technology leaders. Microsoft Nigeria joins Andela’s Learning community vision with an aim to support technology enthusiasts become world-class developers and IT professionals using Microsoft technologies.

Participants were taken through sessions learning about DevOps with Visual Studio team service and Microsoft Azure, Front-end web development with CSS, HTML and JavaScript. Training the participants included Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, Toni Edward Solarin. At the Dev-Ops track session, Toni demonstrated how to deploy a nodejs app to Microsoft Azure using Visual Studio Team Services.
