Microsoft Lumia 950 still takes amazing Photos

Microsoft Lumia 950 still takes amazing Photos

This 2 year old Lumia phone from Microsoft still takes amazing photos

We all know Microsoft isn’t making mobile handsets anymore. They sold off that division and it’s been acquired by a group that has decided to resurrect the Nokia brand and boy, how many phones do they have out now?

Also there are some faithful Lumia and Microsoft fans who are kinda excited by the rumored Andromeda pocketable device. Unfortunately after a surge of hype it seems to be squashed with news of it being killed or pushed further along. So question what device are you using these days? Did you already move on to either IOS or Android? I will like to know as i’m still undecided on the path to take.

So I started out by using the Lumia 950 XL when the devices were launched. Two years on, hmm almost three actually I’ve switched to the Microsoft Lumia 950. I’ve been using it as my main device and my ultimate photography device. Truth be told the Lumia 950 and 950 XL packed some great specifications and had unique camera technologies that made it stand out. Pureview, Zeiss optics, HDR, advanced optical image stabilization amongst others.

It might be old and i’m really thinking about a new device – (advice on what you moved on might help, kindly share why) – but it still takes amazing photos.

I’m sharing a few of them here. Check out more from my Instagram collection don’t forget to follow for more and share yours with us as well.

Bisa Health APP, Download from Windows Store

Bisa Health APP, Download from Windows Store

Bisa is a health application platform that brings a doctor to the patient via a smartphone or web app.

Bisa Health App

Bisa Health app is a mobile application that allows people with a smartphone interact with medical practitioners. The user does not have to be present physically at a hospital or medical facility. The platform isn’t an alternative to seeking a health treatment. It seeks to bridge the health information gap.

This is an advantage to people who need medical care and advice but are not able to visit the hospital for various reasons like; poverty, long queues at the hospital and the fear of stigmatization; especially for people who have symptoms of Sexually Transmitted Diseases(STDs) or diseases in areas that they feel are private or that makes them embarrassed to seek the needed treatment.

The Bisa Health App founders believe there is a gap in the healthcare system. Where some people are not able to easily seek medical help when needed and the platform can address this gap. However, healthcare is a basic amenity which everyone should be able to access and Bisa seeks to address this disparity in access to healthcare.

The app does not only address the problems of getting medical attention from qualified doctors but it also helps in the prevention and spread of disease by providing up-to-date information on the epidemiology and pathogenesis of common diseases and how to control spread of diseases during outbreaks.

How It Works

Currently the Bisa App is only available for Windows mobile devices from the Windows store. Maybe there’ll be a universal windows app soon?

Download the app from the Windows store . You do not need to sign in to ask a question. But you’ll need to provide some details so you can receive a reply to your question.

Bisa App is supposed to revolutionize health care in Ghana and Africa. From the comfort of your home, office, etc ask a doctor any question.

If you are not sure how to describe an ailment, you can take a picture of the affected skin or medical condition and attach it for better assessment and answering.

When you ask a question, you’ll need to give it sometime before you receive a reply. I sent a question in the morning and got a reply in the evening.

Also there are other health information’s available in the application that spans various topics. The platform also seeks to provide real time information to people on health issues when there’s an epidemic or outbreak.

Give the app a try. Download it, ask a question get a reply and tell us what you think.

  • How to Setup and Use Continuum

Create and edit Office documents, send email, type text messages, watch videos, browse your photos, or surf the web on your connected screen. When you’re done, your work goes with you—it’s saved on your phone.

Continuum turns your phone into a big-screen projector and a big-time productivity tool. Use a dock or wireless adapter to connect to a TV or monitor, then use your apps and see your content on a larger screen. Want to do even more? Connect a keyboard and mouse and get productive.

*Use your Phone as a Phone during Continuum. Even when you’re connected to a display or monitor, you can still use your phone in all the usual ways. Make and receive calls, send texts, check your social media apps—it’s all still a tap away.

How you set up Continuum depends on what type of hardware you’ve got. Here’s what you’ll need to get started.

  • A TV or monitor with HDMI input.

  • A Windows 10 Mobile phone that’s compatible with Continuum.

  • A compatible accessory for connecting your phone to your TV or monitor.

  • A power outlet to plug in your dock or adapter.

*Use your Phone as a mouse during Continuum. To use your phone to control your connected screen, select Tap to control in the Continuum banner at the top of your screen. Then swipe your finger around the phone’s screen to move the cursor.

To connect using a wired dock:

  1. Plug the dock into a power outlet.

  2. If you’re connecting to a TV, make sure the TV’s input is set to HDMI.

  3. Plug the dock into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor.

  4. Plug your phone into the dock.

To connect using a wireless adapter:

  1. Plug the adapter into a power outlet.

  2. If you’re connecting to a TV, make sure the TV’s input is set to HDMI.

  3. Plug the adapter into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor.

  4. On your phone, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Continuum Continuum icon.

  5. Select Set up. (You’ll only see this screen the first time you connect.)

  6. Select Wireless, then select Connect.

  7. On the Connect screen, select the name of the wireless adapter.
